Yuji Jones is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in wind conducting with Dr. Kevin Sedatole at Michigan State University. Prior to studying wind conducting, he served as a band director at the middle and high school levels for a combined total of ten years for programs in Ohio, Tennessee, and Indiana. Jones currently serves as the education coordinator and staff conductor for the Newfound Chamber Winds (NFCW). He is responsible for having NFCW artists engage with music students throughout the Mid-Atlantic region via original and unique educational experiences.

Jones received his masters degree in wind conducting with Dr. Jamie L. Nix at the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University (Georgia). He earned his bachelors degree in Instrumental Music Education with an emphasis in Instrumental Conducting from Indiana University- Bloomington, receiving high honors.
