Cody Edgerton graduated from Michigan State University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. As a member of the percussion studio, Cody performed with the Spartan Marching Band Drumline, the MSU Wind Symphony, and the MSU Percussion Ensemble. Cody also marched two summers with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps in 2012 and 2013. After graduation, Cody taught for two years as the middle and high school band director for Elk Rapids Schools in Elk Rapids, MI, and for two years as the assistant band director at Grandville High School in Grandville, MI. In 2019, Cody attended Western Michigan University and graduated in Spring of 2021 with a Master of Music degree in Wind Conducting. Cody then returned to MSU during the Fall of 2021 for a Doctor of Music degree in Wind Conducting. Cody hopes to someday earn a job as a collegiate band director and professor for concert ensembles, athletic bands, and music education classes. Cody is originally from Charlotte, MI.
