
Brian Taylor is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Wind Conducting at Michigan State University under the supervision of Dr. Kevin Sedatole. At MSU he is active with Spartan Marching Band, Spartan Brass, concert ensembles, conducting classes, and marching band methods. Additionally, he serves as a Leadership Development Fellow in the College of Graduate Studies. Immediately before his DMA studies, he completed a MM in conducting at MSU.
Before beginning his graduate studies, Taylor taught high school and middle school band in the DFW area for four years. He earned his BM and BA from the University of Texas where he studied under Jerry Junkin, Bob Duke, and Ray Sasaki. While in Austin, he played in the UT Wind Ensemble, marched in Longhorn Band, and competed in the National Trumpet Competition.
